FIELD: railway transport; brake systems of railway vehicles. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway vehicle brake cylinder and is aimed at improving design of mechanism returning thrust screw into initial after taking up slack between brake shoe and wheelset toll surface. Brake cylinder has locking element made in form of triangular cavities on end face surface of ring-rigidly coupled with thrust screw and four diametrically arranged projections on end face surface of eye which provides accurate alignment of thrust screw with brake leverage of vehicle and simultaneously sets required clearance between brake shoe and wheelset roll surface. EFFECT: increased stability of fixing of mounting dimensions of brake cylinder with vehicle leverage. 1 dwg
