FIELD: manufacturing engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has two movable carriages with positioning members mounted on them. The positioning members are made of spherical centering members which provide alignment of gear wheel with the pitch circle of gear ring. Two disk shavers are diametrically contrarily and located on the movable carriages connected by translation drive. The disk shaver are connected with spindle of workpiece through rotary drive. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of alignment of the gear wheels, removed redistribution of radial and tangential errors of the gear ring, reduced influence of kinematics of shaving process to the accuracy of the workpiece. 3 dwg
