FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating fiber with aqueous emulsion solution or with water to provide for actual moisture content of 18-22% prior to mellowing and scutching; reprocessing produced fibrous mass in cotton spinning carding system or in chemical fibers spinning carding system with cutting length of 55-56 mm by circular spinning method, with spindle frequency being within 9,000-12,000 min min-1 and increase of traveler weight being 15-20%. Yarn is produced from Arselon fibers, which are modified Oxalon fibers of polyoxydiosol staple filaments, and has increased physico- mechanical properties approximating those of viscose yarn. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of yarn. 2 tbl
