FIELD: thermal engineering; using natural gas as heat energy source. SUBSTANCE: method for pre-combustion treatment of natural gas using for the purpose forced air feed gas burner built integral with draft system involves reduction of gas pressure by means of pressure controller and gas supply to suction line of draft system; gas pressure is reduced to atmospheric value. Gas burner incorporating draft system whose suction line is made in the form of cylinder with perforated insert and connected to gas supply pipeline has its perforated insert provided with perforated ring whose holes are equal to and coaxial with insert holes; perforated ring is mounted for turning and/or longitudinal displacement. Proposed method and burner provide for maintaining desired composition of gas-air mixture in case of heavy variations in heat power of burner dispensing with sophisticated control systems; burner is capable of gradually increasing and decreasing heat power and excess coefficient in compliance with requirements and operating conditions. EFFECT: facilitated control of gas-air mixture composition; enhanced reliability and mechanical design of burner. 3 cl, 1 dwg
