FIELD: thermal power plants; air heaters for live stock barns. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical casing that mounts on its end axial-flow fan, cylindrical furnace chamber coaxial with and inserted into casing, and burner connected through pipeline to fuel supply. Novelty in apparatus is that furnace chamber has contraction on fan side and is mounted for axial displacement, and that burner is made in the form of hollow perforated cone placed downstream of fan coaxially with respect to casing. Perforated cone angle is smaller than contraction angle. EFFECT: improved quality of primary-air-and-fuel mixture, reduced emission of carbon oxide, facilitated control of heat-generation capacity. 1 dwg
