FIELD: electric arc welding under flux of high-carbon steels, for example important parts of railway transport such as bands of locomotive wheels, one-piece rolled car wheels, wheel centers of locomotives and so on. SUBSTANCE: welding of important parts of high carbon steel with carbon content up to 0.6% is realized by means of two successive electric arcs in different welding bathes at using two separate electric current sources after preliminary heating; making burning off bead by means of one electric arc and subsequently cooling it; removing slag from bead after complete cooling of part. EFFECT: enhanced quality of welding, improved mechanical properties of welded metal, elimination of cold and hot cracking. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
