FIELD: heat treatment of heavy ingots and blanks from martensitic steels used in atomic power, shipbuilding and chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hardening from temperatures of 1050-1080 C to temperature of ((MH)+100) ± 10 C is performed at rate not below critical level; then article is kept in furnace at this temperature for equalizing temperature over entire section of article, after which it is cooled in air to temperature of (MK+(MH•MK)/3)±10°C and then immediately subjected to high-temperature tempering to Ac1+(20-50)°C and cooling to temperature of MK followed by repeated high-temperature tempering for at least once. EFFECT: enhanced ductility , impact resistance, resistance to corrosion cracking and intercrystalline corrosion ensuring homogeneity of properties over section of heavy blanks; reduced level of residual stresses. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
