SUBSTANCE: casing string centralizer has body with barrel-shaped centering ribs whose working surface is ellipsoid in shape and formed by ellipse rotated round its small axis. Large axis of ellipse equals nominal diameter of circumscribed circle round three-cone drilling bit by which well is drilled, and its small axis is equal to nominal diameter of circumscribed circle round its cone. In this case, centralizer sectional area located at level of centralizer centering surfaces does not exceed sectional area of protruding part of casing coupling.
