SUBSTANCE: polarized-radiation source has non-polarized radiation source and radiation shaper-polarizer; made in the form of thin stack of optically matched systems of wave- converting lenses spatially spaced apart; separators of orthogonal polarized radiation components, system of beam shapers, and system of spatially matching rotators of orthogonal polarized radiation components; it is mounted in output plane of non-polarized radiation source. Radiation shaper-polarizer may be provided with one more system of spatially matching rotators of orthogonal polarized radiation components. In addition, at least one more radiation shaper-polarizer may be installed. Surfaces of optical systems of radiation shaper-polarizer stack may bear antireflection coating. Optical systems of radiation shaper-polarizer stack may be locked and optically matched to each other by means of filler. Tops of separator of orthogonal polarized radiation components may be covered with light-tight coating. Each lens of system of spatially spaced apart wave converting lenses may be built up of at least two joined parts of lenses whose main axes are relatively offset. Radiation shaper- polarizer may be of convex shape. Systems of radiation shaper-polarizer stack may be positioned and matched relative to converging or diverging beams of polarized radiation source.
