COMPACT POLARIZATION FILTER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2173472 C2

FIELD: polarization microscopy, anti- dazzling systems providing for safety of motor vehicles, location. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to polarization filters used to extract one polarization component of radiation. Compact polarization filter is optically clear, thin, covered by antireflection coat with separator of orthogonal polarization components of radiation with sawtooth profile composed of optically matched alternating layers optically clear but having different refractive indices. Under vertexes of filter on inner side there are arranged light-absorbing partitions. Antirefletion coat is located at input and output surfaces. EFFECT: formation of structure of compact polarization filter with low losses capable of timely control over filtering capability. 10 cl, 11 dwg
