FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves acting with alternating current upon two- layered lipid membrane produced from phosphatidyl solution and native plasmatic membranes of white rats. Permeability is determined by recording penetration time of a substance under study. Device has Plexiglass cell having emitter and collector chambers separated with polyethylene partition having opening for producing two-layered lipid membranes, chlorosilver electrodes placed in both chambers, oscillograph connected to the right electrode, low frequency oscillator connected to the left electrode, gate valve for shutting the partition opening on the emitter and collector chambers and hydrostatic pressure equilibrium system for controlling pressure in both chambers manufactured as U-shaped tube having shut-off valve. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in determining steroid hormone participation in intercellular metabolism. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
