FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for recovery of heavy nonferrous metals, mainly, from dusty and fine wastes of metallurgical industry. Method includes mixing of initial dusty and fine-fraction raw material in the form of production wastes with heavy nonferrous metals and binding additives, and pressing of mixture. Binding additives are used in the form of alkaline-earth compounds such as quicklime, gypsum, cement. Prior to mixing, fine-fraction raw material is moistened up to moisture content of 3.5-20 wt. %. Produced mixture of raw material with additives is let stand for at least 1 h. Then mixture is additionally heated in wet medium before pressing, and pressed. After pressing, mixture is subjected to heat-moisture treatment. EFFECT: increased number of nonferrous metals in briquette and strength of briquette by factor 2, utilized dusty wastes containing nonferrous metals. 7 cl
