FIELD: electroplating, particularly, application of coatings to dielectric materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes successive treatment of material in two sorption aqueous solutions, drying and application of complete coating from electrolyte. After each sorption treatment, material is washed and sulfidized. Composite coating is deposited on base of nickel or its alloy with inclusion of solid particles of one or several compounds selected from group including sulfides of molybdenum and tungsten, selenides of cadmium, zinc, tantalum and molybdenum, oxides of niobium, aluminum, silicon, diamond and graphite. Using claimed method, dielectric material with multilayer coating and articles of said material are manufactured. EFFECT: production of dielectric material and articles from said material with multilayer coating with increased protection against effect of magnetic, electromagnetic, the Earth and space radiations. 6 cl, 1 tbl
