FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of hydrofining oil fractions with sulphur content in raw material of 1.18-2.08 wt%, which can be used in oil refining industry. Method comprises contacting raw material with massive sulphide catalyst in form of nanopowder, obtained from commercial molybdenum and cobalt or nickel sulphide by mechanochemical activation in ratio of components, wt%: 7-10:1, at temperature of 330 °C, ratio of hydrogen to raw material of 300-350:1 and pressure 2.5-3.0 MPa.

EFFECT: method enables to achieve deep purification of petroleum fractions while preventing formation of large amount of waste water, containing nitrogen oxides, chlorine anions and cations of heavy metals and acid reagents.
