FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining composite electrode material based on cobalt vanadium oxide and molybdenum oxide compounds includes precipitation of electrocatalytic oxide coating on modified surface of glassy carbon. Electrocatalytic oxide coating is formed on the basis of mixed oxides of vanadium, cobalt and molybdenum by their precipitation from electrolyte water solution by temperature 60÷65°C, at pH 4÷4.5, containing salts of cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, iron, citric and boric acids, under impact of alternating asymmetric current, in which ratio of currents for period of cathode and anode constitutes 1.5:1 at voltage 40÷50 V and the following component ratio, g·l-1: cobalt sulphate (CoSO4·7H2O) - 100.0÷110.0, ammonium heptamolybdate ((NH4)6Mo7O24·4H2O) - 40.0÷56.0, iron sulphate (FeSO4·7H2O) - 6.0÷14.0, nickel sulphate (NiSO4·7H2O) - 18.0÷20.0, citric acid (HOC(CH2COOH)2COOH) - 2.5÷3.0, boric acid (H3BO3) - 13.0÷15.0.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce power consumption and simplify process of obtaining composite electrode material based on cobalt vanadium oxide and molybdenum oxide compounds, increase strength of composite electrode material and increase stability and efficiency of its work.
