FIELD: drying of wet cloth of material (paper, fabric). SUBSTANCE: fixed in radius of the inner surface of drying cylinder 1 positioned on fixed hollow shaft 2 with the aid of spokes 9 are frameworks alternately applied to which are the stator windings of motor 7 and the windings of electromagnetic heater 8. The windings of motor 7 and heater 8 are connected to terminal box 11 by means of a cable 10 passing through the hollow shaft. Cylinder 1 is secured on frames 12. Covers 3 and 4 are attached to its ends with the aid of studs 5. The face cover has port 6. The advantage of the given system is the possibility of off-line control of the speed and heating of each cylinder separately, which provides for a high accuracy of operating procedure of drying of wet material. The arrangement of the windings of the electromagnetic heater is the possibility of off-line control of the drying cylinder temperature at the edges and in the central part thus maintaining the uniform temperature profile over the whole surface of the cylinder. Besides, the entire heat released in the brake motor windings accomplishes a useful work in heating of the cylinder surface. The motor windings and the brakes are placed in a sealed barrel of the cylinder so that they are protected against moisture and dust at drying of a wet cloth of material.
