FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: cutterbar has drive and cutting member made in the form of two helical spirals inserted one into another. Spirals with equally spaced coils have isosceles triangle section. Height of triangle exceeds its base. Spirals triangle bases are in contact one with another. Spirals are rotated to one side, with angular speed of inner spiral exceeding that of outer spiral to provide for relative displacement of cutting edges of inner and outer spirals and cutting of farm crops. Cut mass is moved towards collecting part of agricultural machine. Cutterbar of such construction may be used in mowing machines or harvester headers. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
