FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making parasternal extrapleural mediastinal access to lung root on the bleeding side without opening pericardium. Lobar hemorrhage source localization in the right lung being the case, occlusion and/or ligation of pulmonary artery branches and of the main bronchus branches is carried out. The hemorrhage source being localized in the left lung or no lobar hemorrhage source localization in the right lung being proved, occlusion and/or ligation of the right or left pulmonary artery is carried out. Bleeding continuing, additional sequential occlusion of bronchial arteries and the main bronchus is carried out. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of trauma and complications.
