FIELD: mining; applicable in mining of thin and thick technogenic deposits, particularly, recovery of valuable components of rare and noble metals from oil drained tailings dumps. SUBSTANCE: method includes division of tailings dump area into extraction blocks with trench driven by means of earth-moving machinery (dragline) over center of extraction block, and installation of belt conveyer in said trench for mineral transportation. Auguring unit for drilling of horizontal holes is installed on platform moving over frame of belt conveyer. Mineral separated from mineral mass is transported by auger to hole mouth where drillings are loaded onto belt conveyer for further transportation to concentrating mill. EFFECT: more rational utilization of wastes of deposits reserves, higher efficiency of recovery of valuable components of rare and noble metals of technogenic deposits from oil drained tailings dumps. 2 dwg
