FIELD: tobacco industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has tubular sectional heat-exchanger arranged in gas distributing chamber transverse to drying agent flow. Gas distributing grid is composed of perforated plates. Total grid perforation area is 1.5-2 times smaller than gas conduits effective section area. Nozzles are arranged in drying chamber and gas conduits. Heat-and-moisture protective cover, such as polymer film, is applied to inner surface of drying and gas distributing chambers. Such construction provides intensified drying process. EFFECT: reduced power consumption, improved quality of dried tobacco leaves, reduced heat loss into environment. 5 cl, 2 dwg
