FIBER IMPREGNATING UNIT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of high- pressure vessel from composite materials by winding impregnated glass fiber on mandrel. SUBSTANCE: impregnation of fibers is performed on winding machine provided with entering bobbins; proposed device has chamber with throttling opening for feeding impregnating compound into gap of spinneret formed by outer surface of chamber in area of throttling opening and outer surface of opposite unit, piping system for feeding impregnating compound under pressure to storage reservoir mounted on base of machine and to chamber and discharging this compound from chamber; device includes also fiber tensioning unit. It is provided with sensor for control of delivery of impregnating compound and movable rod with valve located inside chamber for control of passage area of throttling opening found in bottom of chamber. Opposite unit is made in form of die with shaped dimple forming bath on surface directed towards bottom. Fiber tensioning unit is made in form of system of movable rollers having tear-shaped form in cross section; it is located behind spinneret in way of motion of fiber. EFFECT: improved quality of impregnation of fibers at increased productivity of winding machine. 8 cl, 2 dwg
