FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: polyetherpolyol by interaction of an alkylene oxide with mixture of polyatomic alcohols depicted by general formula: , in which R1 denotes hydrogen or C1-C3- alkyl, R2 C1-C3-alkyl, and n= 0-3, and at least one aliphatic or alicyclic polyatomic alcohol containing at least 2 functions. Product is characterized by aromaticity from 2 to 35%, average polyol functionality 2,0 to 4.5, and hydroxyl number 390- 650 mg KOH/g. Polyether-polyol blend contains thus prepared polyether-polyol and aliphatic and/or alicyclic polyether- polyol and is characterized by functionality at least 2.5. Rigid polyurethane is prepared by foaming of polyether-polyol or polyether-polyol blend using water and/or cyclopentane as foaming agent. Invention can find use for manufacturing insulation materials for industrial refrigerators and deep-freezers as well as building materials.
