FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing flexible flame retardant polyurethane foam, flexible polyurethane foam, a molded product, and the use of propylene oxide-based polyol for producing flexible polyurethane foam. This method involves an interaction of propylene oxide-containing polyol with foaming reagents containing polyisocyanate and a foaming agent. Above polyol is prepared by ring-opening polymerization of alkylene oxide in the presence of a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst, and the polyol either does not contain ethylene oxide residues or contains ethylene oxide residues in an amount of at most 1 % w/w. Further, the polyol polydispersity index is from 1.18 to 1.5.
EFFECT: method for production allows to reduce the cost of produced flexible flame retardant polyurethane foam as well as to reduce the level of flame retardants in it.
