FIELD: construction engineering; inspection, control, and tests of building structures, buildings, underground structures, and foundations. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring crack increment in orthogonal directions. Gauge lengths assembled of thrust cones arranged in remote cantilevers are installed on building structure surface by means of assembly template. Thrust cones ensure high precision installation with self-centering in work position of indicating gage provided with bushes with cone sockets fixed on ends of stop and pullout rods and ensuring measurement of crack development. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy; increased number of parameters recorded in the course of monitoring. 6 cl, 6 dwg
