FIELD: sanitary and hygienic equipment. SUBSTANCE: soap holder has soap lump receiving section of width exceeding soap lump thickness and less than soap lump width. Soap lump is introduced into soap lump receiving section in vertical position. Relatively wide soap lump surfaces are facing toward side surfaces of soap lump receiving section. Depth of soap lump receiving section is sufficient for locating soap lump in stable vertical position. Soap lump receiving section has curved side surfaces, front surface against which soap lump inserted in vertical position reliably abuts, curved rim surface defining top part of side surfaces and front surface, and lower curved surface inclined at predetermined angle relative to direction of advancement of soap lump. Working contact portions of side surfaces, which are in contact with inserted soap lump, are narrowing toward lower part of soap holder. Side and front surfaces, as well as rim surface and lower surface are curved so that soap lump forms preferably point contact with side and front surfaces, rim surface and lower surface. Such construction provides for minimal contact of soap lump with soap holder to prevent soap surface from softening and destruction and to facilitate fast drying of soap. EFFECT: simplified construction, improved keeping of soap in good state and convenient usage. 8 cl, 13 dwg
