FIELD: medicine, particularly, gynecology. SUBSTANCE: tampon is a means used for treatment and prophylaxis. Composition in the form of envelope is applied on the surface of tampon, and it contains biocompatible gel-forming polymers and medical preparations. Biocompatible polymer contains from 45 to 96% of composition mass, while medical preparation, from 4 to 55%, and layer of composition is from 2 to 10 mg/sq. cm. Used as medical preparations of antiseptic and antimicrobial action are chlorhexidine, miramistin, furagin, metronidasol, and as medical preparations of antioxidant action used are: α-tocopherol, maxidol, and nidasol. Vegetable curative complexes chlorphyllipt, sea-buckthorn oil, and dog rose oil are medical preparations which stimulate healing.
