GENERATOR OF SIGNALS REFLECTED FROM COASTLINE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: teaching and training of operators of radars and of radar information processing devices in operation when vessel sails in navigation most-risky areas such as throats, strait zone or along coastline of chosen shipping area. SUBSTANCE: device incorporating control console, storage, on-line storage and video signal former is inserted with unit of electron library of maps, unit controlling preliminary recording, former of relative coordinates of vessel carrying radar and reading and synchronization unit with their couplings which secures modeling of signals similar to signals reflected from coastline and navigation markers of chosen shipping area across output of receiver of radar, inherent noises of receiver and synchronization signals at rate of radar functioning and with due account of motion of vessel carrying radar. Size of simulated shipping area can amount to field of square with leg equal to several hundred kilometers with discreteness of formation of outline of coastline equal to range discrimination of radar. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of modeling of profile of coastline and navigation markers on screen of radar with reference to moving vessel carrying radar. 5 dwg
