FIELD: measurement of water content in natural gas by way of determination of temperature of dew point under conditions of high content of vapors of higher hydrocarbons. SUBSTANCE: method determining temperature of water dew point in natural gas is based on measurement of temperature of cooled mirror at start of condensation of vapors of water on it. Radio waves of centimeter or millimeter range are used to control state of mirror surface. Measurement cell of hygrometer has dielectric waveguide cooled by thermoelectric module and temperature sensitive element of waveguide surface. Source of SHF/EHF waves is located at one end of waveguide and detector of these waves is placed at the other end of it. Cooling of waveguide to temperature below dew point leads to start of condensation of drops of moisture on it. In this case amplitude of signal from detector falls due to absorption of radio wave of SHF/EHF range in water which is recorded by electron circuit. Device does not respond to film of condensate of higher hydrocarbons. EFFECT: considerably decreased error in determination of temperature of water dew point in natural gas in presence of vapors of higher hydrocarbons as compared with optical devices used for this purpose. 3 cl, 3 dwg
