FIELD: measuring moisture content of natural gas using dew-point technique. SUBSTANCE: when measuring dew point with proposed hygrometer by cooling metal mirror with aid of thermoelectric cooling devices, heat transferred from hot side of thermoelectric cooling device should be abstracted. Proposed technique involves heat abstraction from hygrometer case by bringing it in contact with cold solid body such as gas line pipe. Hygrometer is disposed in immediate proximity of pipeline and adequate thermal contact is effected through special-shape heat-conducting shoe tightly abutting against hygrometer and pipeline.
