HYDRAULIC DAMPER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of helicopter; hydraulic dampers for dampening oscillations of main rotor blades. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic damper includes hydraulic cylinder, rod with piston, valves mounted in piston passages and provided with shut-off member which are spring-loaded on different sides of piston; hydraulic cylinder and rod are provided with attachment units; control rod with pusher at the end is mounted inside rod on side opposite to its attachment unit; pusher of control rod is engageable with shut-off members of valves and with piston during axial motion of control rod; its other carries attachment unit for securing it to control mechanism. EFFECT: possibility of obtaining variable dampening characteristics; adaptability of proposed damper for helicopters provided with mechanical unpowered control systems excluding passage of torsional oscillations of blades to control system. 6 cl, 7 dwg
