FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: described is an actuating mechanism for a device, e.g., for a gas or steam turbine valve, or in the most common case for fittings for controlling the flow of a fluid process medium, having an electric drive and an emergency actuation system for returning the device to the initial position in case of a fault using an actuating element. The emergency actuation system has an energy storage whose energy is used to return the actuating element to the initial position. According to the invention, the energy storage is operably coupled to a piston which, in order to charge the energy storage, is pressure-loaded in a working chamber under pressure, which is linked through a switching valve to a tank or similar container, and which is thereby moved by the energy storage during discharge thereof. The piston interacts with the actuating element of the electric drive for movement thereof in the direction of returning to the initial position.
EFFECT: high efficiency.
