FIELD: treatment of natural water and sewage, more particularly disinfection and sterilization of various objects, decontamination and preservation of drinking water from open freshwater reservoirs (rivers, lakes), subterranean sources and preservative agent in food and pharmacological industries. SUBSTANCE: said disinfecting aqueous solution contains silver ions resulting from electrolysis of solutions using silver anode, citric or acetic acid, distilled water and also further contains synergic agent, ratios of components being as follows, wt %: silver (Ag+)0,1•105-1,0; acetic or citric food acid, 0.25-5.0; synergic agent, 0.01-80.0; and distilled water, the balance. Synergic agent is preparation (biological inhibiting stimulating) concentrated solution prepared from dried and finely divided plantules or plant tops of potatoes and tomatoes and also from juice of aqueous extract from said green plants at initial vegetation stage, medical ethyl alcohol, medical iodine, 5% alcoholic iodine solution, and hydrogen peroxide. Said disinfecting aqueous solution may further contain food colorant, aromatizing agent, concentrate, ammonia and aspartame. Said disinfecting aqueous solution has high bactericidal, parasitic and virulent activity. Solution is capable of forming low-dissociating salts having improved disinfecting activity. Solution may be useful for treating foodstuffs, namely per simultaneously preparing and preserving natural fruit juices or milk from concentrates, organoleptic properties and nutrient value thereof remaining unchanged. Thermal treatment of product is not practical, thus retaining vitamins and significantly reducing power efficiency of process. EFFECT: improved properties of the disinfecting aqueous solution. 11 cl
