FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: upper trough-type feeder has vibratory system for imparting vibrations to trough for charging blast furnace with materials. Vibratory system has steel cable, block of pulleys and guide for restricting displacements in vertical plane. Guide has vertical guiding columns, roller for guide, adjustable supports, shafts for supports and adjusting screws for regulating roller biasing extent. AC servomotor with permanent magnet is employed as an actuating engine. Increased efficiency of feeder is provided by uniform distribution of drive load. EFFECT: simplified construction, smooth operation, convenient service and maintenance and enhanced reliability in operation. 9 cl, 4 dwg
