PULLING-AND-RUNNING DEVICE FOR TOWED LINE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC B63B21/56 

FIELD: transportation, shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: pulling-and-running device for towed line contains turning slipway with depressor of towed line installed on it in cruising order and hauling winch with horizontally mounted drum for multi-circuit single-row winding of towing line. Before the drum of hauling winch the rotating support made in the form of bobbin with lower bearing rib and the stand on which rotating drum is installed are mounted and spaced apart in the sector of 50-60° relative to axis of drum rotation. This drum has a channel for laying the tension strip embracing towed line with possibility to move in the channel of hauling winch drum while towed line coils are stripped/winded on, and a channel for laying the cable linked via pulley tackle with variable load traveling inside the stand. On the platform of turning slipway limiters are installed which are made as supports. Clearance between supports is widening in direction of towed line exit from slipway forming arc-shaped leaves.

EFFECT: tow line damage prevention during its positioning/hauling.
