METHOD OF ISOLATION OF LOST-CIRCULATION BEDS IN WELL Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil- producing industry, particularly, methods of elimination of mud lost circulation in course of well drilling. SUBSTANCE: method includes delivery of dry plugging mixture in containers to lost-circulation zone, emptying of containers, mixing with water and forcing of formed grouting mortar into bed by rotation of drill pipe string. Plugging mixture is delivered in destructible containers by fluid column in well. In this case, well is found in static state. Dry plugging mixture is delivered by separate portions with 10-15 containers in each portion. After delivery of each portion and destruction of containers, grouting mortar is forces into bed through a distance of 3-5 well diameters. Well is allowed to stand at rest for time required for lost of mobility by grouting mortar. Then next portions are introduced into well. EFFECT: provision of technology ensuring high efficiency of isolation of lost-circulation beds with minimal expenditures of time and materials.
