FIELD: mechanical engineering; damping devices for protection of electronic equipment against seismic action of large amplitude and duration transmitted through base in horizontal and vertical planes. SUBSTANCE: damping device has metal body with spherical cavity inside it; this cavity is partially filled with loose material (steel balls of preset diameter). In center of this cavity there is rod of special from which is secured on object protected. End of rod immersed in loose material is made in form of auger whose lower part is turned relative to upper part by one fourth of turn.
