FIELD: electric prospecting by method of induction probing of upper part of geological section. SUBSTANCE: method is predominantly applied for detection and survey of zones of tectonically disturbed rocks, for survey of construction sites, for test of condition of filled water-development works, for detection of geoelectric inhomogeneities in tested sections. In agreement with method source of electromagnetic field and receiving magnetic transducer spaced apart are employed. Intensities of magnetic field are recorded with simultaneous lift of source and field meter so placed that axis of receiving transducer is oriented perpendicular to intensity of magnetic field which excludes direct effect of radiator on meter. Measurements are conducted at several specified heights and distribution of electromagnetic field depending on height of lift determines geoelectric characteristics of tested section. EFFECT: decreased ambiguity of interpretation of obtained results with inhomogeneous structure of upper part of geological section. 2 cl, 1 dwg
