FIELD: electrical prospecting, study of geoelectric structure of the Earth. SUBSTANCE: examined medium is excited with variable magnetic field formed by current flowing through uniaxial horizontal ungrounded loops connected in series opposition. Ratio of vertical components of magnetic induction created by external and internal loops in interval from 1.0 to 1.1 is set. Point of minimal signal of summary vertical component of magnetic induction is determined on lower frequency on day surface of the Earth, near center of loops. Real and imaginary parts of this component are measured on several frequencies. Parameters of vertical section are determined by type of frequency characteristic of imaginary resistance. EFFECT: search for geological layers and non-unifomities covered by conductive layer from top, enhanced informativity and accuracy of measurements. 4 dwg
