FIELD: separation of pulp under action of centrifugal forces; concentrating mills; chemical, food-processing and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of granulometric composition of drainage product. Granulometric composition of product is regulated with the aid of drain branch pipe made in form of jet ejector through change of position of nozzle in mixing chamber or working pressure head of ejecting jet or by simultaneous action of both of them. Hydrocyclone has housing with tangential inlet, drain and sand branch pipes; drain branch pipe is made in form of jet ejector; nozzle is mounted for performing reciprocating motion. EFFECT: intensification of operation; enhanced efficiency; extended range of control both by flow rate of drainage product and sands and by solid phase. 3 cl, 1 dwg
