FIELD: fire prevention, applicable as a means of detection of ignition and actuation of fire suppression installations. SUBSTANCE: the modulation flame detector has a sealed body accommodating a light filter passing the infra-red radiation, detector of infra-red radiation, electronic switch comprising an automatic fire suppression system. A pendulum modulator is installed between the light filter and the detector of infra-red radiation, and the detector of infra-red radiation and the signal amplifier are coupled to the electronic switch via series-connected square pulse shaper and pulse counter. Installed in the body is also a testing microlamp shifted relative to the body longitudinal axis so that the light signal from the microlamp is applied to the detector of infra-red radiation via the pendulum modulator reflecting from the light filter. At testing operation of the whole circuit of the modulation flame detector is being examined, but the fire suppression system gets interlocked. EFFECT: reduced error probability and enhanced reliability of operation. 1 dwg
