FIELD: materials handling facilities; basket-type bottom-loading transporting devices. SUBSTANCE: bottom panels are set in required position by means of groups of projections in bottom panel alignment unit installed on conveyor. Groups of projections get into engagement with alignment holes in bottom panels of transporting device. Each group of projections is provided with movable projecting element displaced outwards and stationary projecting element. Alignment holes of transporting devices come into meshing with groups of projections when movable elements are shifted off. Each movable element has angular projecting part to suit shape of top of triangular alignment holes for getting into holes. Each stationary projection has edge part shaped to suit shape of bases of triangular alignment holes and getting into the holes. EFFECT: possibility of continuous opening and loading of basket-type bottom loading transporting devices. 5 cl, 40 dwg
