FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: method consists in catalytic oxidation of Fe(II) on granulated manganese-containing catalyst in the form of silica gel thermodificiated with manganese dioxide (particle size 0.15- 0.5 mm) followed by separation of thus formed suspended phase of Fe(OH)3 by filtration through granular bulk of marble crumb (fraction 1-2 mm). Catalytic oxidation is carried out in fluidized catalyst bed, which is formed by bubbling air at air velocity 17-20 m/h and water velocity up to 2.5 m/h, whereas catalyst is loaded in amounts 0.75 to 1.5 g per 1 l of bed.
