FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: drier with three-staged drying mode has shaft composed of three hoppers having different shape, temperature modes, drying time and corn cob movement speed. First lower hopper made in the form of parallelepiped is provided with drying agent distributing corridor arranged inside thereof and equipped with ridge-shaped perforated cover. Two rows of windows are formed in upper halves of distributing corridor walls. Windows are equipped with detachable baffles and adapted for passage of drying agent and discharge of corn cobs through them. Two tiers of discharge devices are arranged in lower half of distributing corridor. Each of discharge devices has cylindrical dispensing unit with slot and flat trays. Planks are arranged on flat trays in spaced relation one with another. Planks are movable in vertical plane for controlling corn cob flow. Uniform operation of discharge devices is provided by means of shock absorbers arranged below flat trays. Perforated bottoms for supplying drying agent are protruding from distributing corridor walls. Perforated bottoms do not reach hopper walls and floors so as to define simultaneously air ducts and discharge openings. Inclined floors of hopper form pans for moving corn cobs to lower tier discharge devices. Second and third hoppers are made in the form of four-sided truncated pyramids. Drier allows uniform in-line drying of corn cobs in seed production mode as well as in food product manufacture mode. Drier operates in automatic loading, drying, unloading mode effectuated periodically or continuously. EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture and increased efficiency. 3 dwg
