FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: grain drier has two shafts including three hoppers, three drying agent distributing chambers, two airducts, and discharge device. Grain drier has three-staged operation mode. Drying agent is utilized three times successively in three hoppers. Vertical multiple-stage baffle-type air distributing sections positioned in hoppers are made in the form of inclined strips. Each section has blind wall at one side and windows at other side. Each section is arranged so that windows of adjacent sections are oriented in opposite directions. Sections of middle hopper are turned through 180 deg with respect to sections of upper and lower hoppers to provide for reversible supply of drying agent. Construction and arrangement of baffle-type sections, two side airducts providing communication between lower and middle hoppers, and fan allow drying agent used in lower hopper to be vacuum supplied into middle hopper, and supplied under pressure into upper hopper, with drying agent temperature being gradually reduced. Grain is gradually discharged. Grain may be discharged in periodical and continuous discharge modes due to employment of cylinders with rods, which transmit motion to vertically movable discharge planks. The latter tightly adhere (with gap not exceeding 5 mm) to movable planks of discharge device onto which dried grain is delivered. Sections composed of three strips may be used as boxes. Grain drier of such construction allows grain of different crops with increased moisture content to be dried without cleaning in seed and product modes for one pass. It allows fuel consumption to be reduced by three times as compared to existing consumption rates.
