FIELD: device and method for bringing the weapon with a barrel to a condition preventing its use according to the designation in case of its misappropriation or unauthorized use. SUBSTANCE: the device has a rod with a cavity or internal duct. The rod is inserted in the weapon barrel, and the explosive charge is positioned in the cavity of the mentioned rod. The explosive charge is coupled to the source of generation of the alarm signal through a blasting means. At generation of the alarm signal the explosive charge gets blasted and the barrel gets deformed. EFFECT: prevented use of the weapon in case of its misappropriation or misuse. 6 cl, 2 dwg
