FIELD: space technology. SUBSTANCE: procedure to locate leak in outer surface of space object includes preliminary formation of differential pressure of gases not containing test gas inside space object, transportation of instrument measuring pressure having inlet branch pipe and fitted with aid for reduction of gas pressure that has outlet branch pipe to surface of space object, movement of instrument measuring pressure at certain distance from surface of space object to determine background reading of gas flow from surface of space object, movement of instrument measuring pressure in direction with which reading of instrument grows relative to background value and location of leak in outer surface of space object by maximum reading of instrument measuring pressure. Procedure requires employment of flexible hose with telescopic rod with separable lug. EFFECT: reduced expenses on operation, maintenance and repair of space objects. 1 cl, 3 dwg
