Inflammation process duration in articulation is determined in months, and M-value is calculated as product of inflammation process intensity and its duration in months. The M-value being less than 14, meniscus safety and conservative therapy continuation when needed is to be predicted, surgical intervention being required, synoviocapsulectomy is carried out with meniscus retained.
