FIELD: plug connectors for telecommunication systems. SUBSTANCE: plug connector has shroud accommodating printed-circuit boars, surge arrester with conducting plate, shaped solder that melts in response to excessive temperature rise in arrester, grounding plate, elastic member connected to shaped solder and to grounding plate, and also overload protective device. Elastic member is made in the form of bent two-way contact carrying shaped solder which comes in contact with grounding and conducting plates prior to operation and with telecommunication line conductors after operation. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of surge protection, reduced cost due to using process line for manufacturing plug connector. 6 cl, 4 dwg
