FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to insert discharge arrester of overvoltage protection with case for location of discharge element, which by means of conducting connection element is connected to plug contacts passing through bottom of case, besides, between contact of discharge element and according connection element there is a thermal spring-loaded fusible insert arranged, and also acting at fusible inset by means of insulating bracket, transmitting force of pretension, and condition indicator. According to invention, one of conducting connecting elements comprises switching tab, end of which changes into fusible point of contact. Based on the above, switching tab has area of programmed damage sensitive to current, besides, this area of programmed damage is within the area of pretension effect.
EFFECT: invention provides for efficient disconnection both in case of moderate and high overloads.
