PROCESS OF UNDERWATER EXCAVATION OF GRAVEL AND SAND MIXTURE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, mining of construction rock products, working of deposits of gravel and sand mixture occurring in water-bearing horizons. SUBSTANCE: process of underwater excavation of gravel and sand mixture includes excavation of initial trench with width equal to width of mining block as minimum and with depth equal to height of underwater part of mining bench, flooding of initial trench, arrangement of mining equipment ( hydraulic mining aggregate including hydraulic mining and hydraulic giant tools ) in it. Block is mined by undercutting, Intake funnel is formed in soil of bench before undercutting of first stope. Gravel ad sand mixture is washed out in block by sector stopes from single set of mining equipment by means of side face and wash-out of mass of stope is carried out after its caving. Mining equipment is moved as soon as due block is excavated, pulp is lifted to surface and transported to ground complex. EFFECT: possibility of mining of gravel and sand deposits by higher benches which leads to raised efficiency of mining operations. 3 cl, 2 dwg
